Christmas Mints Tea Towels - In-person Class December 12
📅 Date: Saturday, December 12, 2026
⏰ Time: 10:00 a.m.–3:00 p.m.
📍 Where: Halifax
💰 Cost: $65 CAD
👥 Class size: Maximum 5 students; minimum 3 students required for the class to run.
Let’s weave together
You don’t need a class to weave these towels. The Christmas Mints pattern is designed to guide you through the project on your own, with detailed instructions and videos.
But if you enjoy the company of other weavers, a chance to ask questions as you go, and a little extra help when you want it, come and spend the day weaving with other weavers! There will be time to share questions, look at our work together, and enjoy some good company around our looms.
We’ll start by warping together
Bring your loom unwarped. We’ll warp for Christmas Mints together, set up the pick-up sticks, and start weaving.
As we begin the pattern, we’ll explore working with two pick-up sticks and look at string heddles as an alternative to reinserting one of them. We’ll also talk about reading your weaving: recognizing what each pick creates in the cloth, checking your work, and finding where you left off when you return to the loom.
Your Christmas Mints PDF pattern is included with registration. The venue address and preparation details will be provided after you register.
If a day of weaving and good company sounds lovely, you’re welcome to join us.
Prefer to join from home?
The project is also offered as a Zoom class on December 3 and December 5. Those classes run from 2:00–5:00 p.m. Halifax time and ask you to arrive with your loom already warped.
