Chain Lace Stole

CA$10.99

Chain Lace is a fine example of the mighty power of the humble rigid heddle loom. 8/2 Bamboo cotton from Maurice Brassard and Colrain Lace from Webs, this is not for the faint of heart. But don’t be scared off! The Rogue Weaver has videos specific to this pattern to help you insert the string heddles and weave the pattern. Take a deep breath, take it one step at a time and you will be able to master this pattern.

Pattern requires a minimum of an 18” rigid heddle (a Sampleit will not work for this pattern), 12.5 (or 12) dent reed, 184 string heddles, 1 shuttle for weaving, at least 3 shuttles, pick-up sticks, heddle rods or other sticks at least 20” long for the string heddles and pick-up stick, all the usual weaving paraphernalia and an extra measure of courage and patience.

Makes 1 scarf about 14.5” x 68” + fringe
