Loopy Pillow - Zoom - April 7th
🗓 Date: Tuesday, April 7th
⏰ Time: 12:00 PM – 4:00 PM ADT
📍 Location: Zoom
Curious about weaving two layers with two heddles, but not quite sure how it all works?
In this live Zoom class, we’ll slow things down and focus on the essential mechanics of 2 heddles for 2 layers.
You’ll learn how to:
Thread two heddles accurately for a double-layer structure
Insert and position two pick-up sticks correctly
Create and manage four distinct sheds
Maintain clean separation between top and bottom layers
Begin weaving a seamless tube
We’ll use contrasting warp colours so the structure is clearly visible as we work. This makes it much easier to understand what each heddle and pick-up stick is doing.
We will focus on setup, structure, and weaving enough to ensure your layers are forming properly. Once you understand the system, you’ll be able to complete the project confidently on your own.
This is a technique-focused class designed to build real understanding — not just follow steps.
💻 Zoom Class Includes Recording
All Zoom students receive access to the class recording for 30 days, so you can revisit the techniques and weave along again whenever it’s convenient.
🌿 Who Is This For?
This class is for you if:
You have never used two heddles before but are ready to learn
You’ve tried two heddles and felt confused or unsure
You want to understand how two layers actually work — not just follow steps
You enjoy learning structure in a clear, logical way
You’re comfortable warping your loom independently
You do not need prior 2-heddle experience.
You should be comfortable:
Direct warping your loom
Winding on with even tension
If you can set up a basic rigid heddle project on your own, you’re ready for this class.
We’ll move step-by-step and build the structure together.
Class requires a minimum number of students to run.
