Jewel Scarf - A two-heddle Rigid Heddle Scarf Pattern

CA$10.99

Jewel Scarf weaves up into a soft, cashmere-like fabric that feels light in your hands but warm around your neck.

It has beautiful drape, gentle structure, and just enough density to feel substantial without being heavy. The cloth moves easily, folds beautifully, and wears well — the kind of scarf you reach for again and again.

This design is flexible in colour. The original version uses five shades, but the structure works just as well with fewer colours, stash substitutions, or your own intuitive choices. The pattern includes a detailed slot-by-slot threading guide, but you’re encouraged to adjust and make it your own.

Although written for lace-weight yarn, the skills in this pattern translate easily to heavier yarns. Once you understand how the two-heddle set-up works, you can adapt the structure to explore different fibres and weights.

Woven on a rigid heddle loom using two heddles for proper sett, this pattern walks you step by step through warping, threading, weaving, and finishing — with practical tips throughout.

Skill Level

This is not a beginner project.
You should feel confident warping, winding, and threading your loom with a single heddle before attempting two heddles.

This pattern was originally published in Little Looms Magazine (Spring 2022) and is now available as a full standalone pattern.
