This project started with a question: Could I change warp colours without actually changing my warp?
Turns out, I can - and so can you! With some creative warping and a combination of pick-up sticks and string heddles, you will learn to create a warp that lets you choose which colours appear as you weave.
In this class, we'll use the Falling Leaves project to explore this unusual way of warping and weaving. You'll learn how the specially-threaded warp works, how to set up and use two pick-up sequences (with the option of replacing one pick-up stick with string heddles), and how to change which warp colours appear in different sections of your cloth.
We’ll also cover troubleshooting, finishing and have lots of time for your questions!
This class requires you to arrive with your loom warped and ready to weave. After registration you will receive detailed warping instructions.
Minimum of 3 students required for the class to run.
