This set of towels is a sweet and relaxing way to learn how to use a simple pick-up stick to create texture and dimension to your weaving. The pattern calls for Hempathy, a lovely blend of cotton, hemp and modal. Hemp is strong, porous (therefore quick drying) and gets better with age! However, this pattern will also work with 8/2 cotton or Cotolin doubled or 8/4 cotton single as well as Juniper Moon Zooey.
You can order a kit from Cotton Clouds here.
There are some tricks to threading this pattern, but I will walk you through every step (as well as give easier options)!
The pattern requires a 20β loom, a 10 dent reed and 1 pick-up stick (along with all your other weaving supplies).
Makes 2 towels about 23β x 14β.
πΉ Note: This pattern is very similar to my Simple Elegance towel from late 2023. Itβs not identical, but if you already have Simple Elegance, you probably donβt need Classic Elegance too. Just a little heads-up before you purchase!
